Yoga Instructor and Workshop Facilitator
Ada-Reva Ada-Reva Spae is a masters-prepared Nurse Educator, Certified Kripalu and Yoga Tune Up® instructor, and Therapeutic Touch practitioner. Her teaching is a synthesis of her education and her life experiences, with a keen awareness of yoga as far more than a body flexibility or strengthening technique.
Ada-Reva teaches with warmth, humor and respect for the individuals she has the privilege of helping. Her strengths include her ability to craft a class that meets the needs of each individual student, her skill at working with people who traditionally would not be able to attend a traditional yoga class, and her desire to help students develop a meaningful home practice.
Ada-Reva believes her body has been her greatest teacher—she loves working with people who would not ordinarily be able to attend traditional yoga, whether in a group class, a private class, or even in private consultation. While her gentle, adaptive approach to yoga is practical for any body at any level, it is particularly suited to people who are…
Recovering from an injury
Dealing with chronic illness or pain (such as Multiple Sclerosis or Fibromyalgia)
Learning to accept their aging bodies with a happy heart
Adaptive yoga is suitable for any body desiring a gentler practice, including those recovering from injuries, dealing with multiple sclerosis, or other chronic illness. Classes are small, personal, non-prescriptive, and include poses, self-massage, breath work and meditation.
Restorative yoga is a combination of gentle relaxing, supported poses and yoga nidra (guided meditation/yogic sleep) is the ultimate in grounding, centering and stress reduction.
Private consultations are available to individuals looking to incorporate the practice and teaching of yoga, whether to help develop a meaningful in-home practice, or to address specific issues related to health or body image.
